The Quiet Damage Arrives in 14 Days

The Quiet Damage arrives February 20.

This album was written after rehab, during the part of recovery that doesnt usually get talked about.

Rehab can remove you from the chaos for awhile ... but eventually you have to return to ordinary life.

You go back to work, relationships, bills and all the places where your old habits were created. People expect everything to be better because you got help ... but alot of the damage follows you home.

That is where this album lives.

The title comes from the damage people carry without anybody noticing. It doesnt always end in a breakdown or some dramatic moment.

Sometimes you keep working. You answer messages, show up when you're supposed to and tell everybody you're fine.

From the outside, it looks like you have your life together ... while something underneath is slowly wearing you down.

Kelsey helped shape alot of the writing and emotional direction behind the album. We wrote about addiction, abuse, anxiety, damaged relationships, loneliness and what happens when somebody becomes so used to surviving that they no longer remember what feeling safe is supposed to feel like.

Some songs are about people who look like love but leave damage behind. Others deal with shutting people out while secretly hoping somebody notices, or losing pieces of yourself while trying to save everybody around you.

The album isnt trying to give anybody answers.

It is about admitting that the loud part ending doesnt always mean the pain is gone ... sometimes the real work begins after everything becomes quiet.

We also had to be creative with parts of the production. We used loops, VSTi software, old recordings and guitar parts created inside software because we couldnt physically record everything we needed.

Some recordings had echoes, background noise or timing problems. We cleaned what we could, stretched certain sections and fit together the parts that were still usable. Honestly, thank you to iZotope RX for helping with all the band-aids.

It wasnt always an easy album to put together ... but the heart of it has always been the writing.

We will get further into the individual songs and their stories when the album is released. For now, we only wanted to introduce the world they all belong to.

The Quiet Damage is for people who appear okay because they became very good at hiding when they werent.
